Keith Jones, a graduate of Columbia Seminary in Decatur, GA, seeks to live out John's description of Jesus Christ in John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease." Having arrived at New Hope full of youth and energy, Keith is seeking ways that his ministry and the church might continue to grow and seek new ways to be disciples in Chattanooga. Keith's ministry is one that calls him to be grateful for the blessings he has received and also to search for opportunities to serve those who are in need both in the church and in the community.
Keith is a lifelong Presbyterian, having grown up in a small Presbyterian church in Northern Kentucky. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH with a religion and psychology major, he felt the Spirit calling him to ministry during his junior year abroad in Manchester, England. He served as a summer intern at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Northern Kentucky, and has also had the chance to serve at Emory Crawford-Long Hospital for a brief time.
Keith married Rachel in the summer of 2006. She is a CPA who worked as an auditor before moving to Chattanooga.
Keith is an avid cyclist and loves the outdoors. He is excited about growing with the congregation at New Hope and hopes the Spirit will continue to guide and strengthen us as we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ!
